Frankly, I would hold out for a better quality instrument that is also ready to play and needs little to no work. You will need to shop around, as the prices can skyrocket from there.
This can often be justified if we are talking about a pro instrument that will be a valued tool for a working musician, but isn't justified for a student instrument that is more or less a "make do" situation.

Not historic and not valuable, but if it plays, and you're playing it, that's what matters! S axophone P eople. But if you have a Bundy II and it plays, that's cool. My 10M got moved to a backup role, so you know that Couf is a real butt kicker. And also the so-called "Bundy Special" which is really a fine German Keilwerth in disguise. That about sums up my opinion of the Bundy line, save for the rare, 's Leo Bundy horns.
